AllCom recently performed design, engineering and construction services to Spread Networks on the build-out of a new high-speed network between New York and Chicago.
Spread Networks, LLC announced the launch of a new dark fiber private network with round-trip latency of just 13.33 milliseconds for the 825 mile New York to Chicago route. This completely new route has been in development for the last three years. The new private network enables Spread Networks customers to achieve “clean speed”, with data running as close as possible to the true speed of light through fiber, since there is no drag from traditional telecommunications offerings.
AllCom was responsible for design/build construction including complex MEP and structural steel work to support roof-top chiller plants. AllCom also designed the data center layout for several key facilities including cabinet layout, cabling design, power distribution, cooling and fire suppression. AllCom technicians installed primary and secondary DC power systems, cabling, batteries, rectifiers, inverters, etc.
